About Clinical School Library

The Clinical School Library is located on the upper-floor of Johor Clinical School; a two-storey building on the ground of Hospital Sultanah Aminah, Johor Bahru.

The Library started its operation on 5th February 2007 and at present has a collection of 1, 713 items; consisting of books, multimedia and serials. There are also 27 computers, including 23 placed in the Open Learning Centre and 4 express terminals for quick searches on library catalogue and printing. Wireless networking is also available throughout the library for staff and students.

Library collections  

The Clinical School Library has print and huge electronic resources to support the learning, teaching and research activities of staff and students at the University’s Clinical School. The coverage of primary print collection includes Human Anatomy, Pathology, Internal Medicine, Surgery, Gynecology and Obstetrics, Pediatrics.

In addition, registered students and staff are able to access the massive collection of electronic databases in Medicine and Health Sciences at the Monash University Library in Australia. To access these databases, Monash University staff and students are required to use their Monash Authcate username and password.

The Library’s Reference and Multimedia Collection consists of medical dictionaries, encyclopedias, atlases, handbooks and multimedia materials.

The Library maintains a small collection of printed medical periodicals donated by Clinical School lecturers and faculty members.
